Experience – Metro

East London Line Extension, UK – Construction of a new railway between Dalston Junction and Croydon for Transport for London . Scope involves railway works including track, signalling, telecommunications and electrification, and major civil engineering works. The project also included the construction of two large bridges, new stations and depot.

Metro, Athens-Greece, new lines from 2 “Sepolia-Daphni” and 3 “Keramikos – Pentagono” and extension of line 2 towards Elliniko - Following the earlier construction of two complete new metro lines, current involvement includes detailed design, management and synthesis of this 5.7km long structure. It also includes a 5m bored tunnel, four stations and 600m cut and cover sections.

Jubilee Line Extension Contract 102, London, UK – Construction of both the Westminster and Waterloo Station underground ticket halls connected by 1.8km of twin bore 4.35m diameter tunnels. The tunnels run beneath the River Thames and adjacent to the Big Ben clock tower with some sections ranging between 7.0m and 10.0m diameter.

Metro Rhein-Ruhr Bochum, Contract Section 306, Bochum, Germany – Construction of the 1.3km inner-city metro section 306 including a cut & cover station was characterised by a confined site and unique tunnelling methods. The tunnels are being driven in depths between 4 m and 24 m through a Geology including quaternary sands and silts as well as marl (below the groundwater table). The tunnel passed only 1.5m below a three-storey underground car park and below an existing and operating metro-line.

Docklands Light Railway Three Car Project, UK – Project objective was to increase capacity of the network from a two to three car operation. Works included a new delta junction, platform lengthening at over 30 stations, bridge strengthening and associated track works.

Metro do Porto, Portugal – Design, supply, installation, test and commissioning of the fixed installations for this new light rail transit (LRT) system. Scope included the construction of 33 traction substations 15 kV / 750 V DC, contact line over 60km track length (7km in tunnel), 68 stations of which 12 were underground, electrical and mechanical works (i.e., escalators, fire fighting, ticketing), and the Control Centre.

Saint Petersburg metro – Design and construction of twin tunnels 70m below surface, in order to restore line n° 1 of the existing metro. Twin bore tunnel : length 840 m, internal final diameter 6.40m. Excavation of the tunnels with slurry TBM.

Metro, Algeria, line 1, technical and architectural trades of the stations – Finishings and technical and architectural trades of 10 stations (nine underground stations and one elevated), construction of a 16,000m2 technical building and workshops.

Cairo Metro, Egypt – Construction of 11km of 9m diameter tunnels and nine underground stations.
